a gentle space to turn inward and find peace

exhale is a peaceful home-based yoga space in Lewes, Delaware, where women and families are supported through pregnancy, postpartum, growth, transition, and everyday life.

class sizes are small and focus on classical yoga postures, breathwork, meditation and kindness to all beings.

Rachel Ridgeway, founder of exhale yoga studio

meet rachel ridgeway

exhale was created as a nurturing home sanctuary for women, children, and families to reconnect with themselves through breath, movement, and rest.

Yoga has carried me through some of the darkest and brightest seasons of my life — through pregnancy, postpartum depression, addiction, healing, motherhood, and growth. Again and again, the practice has helped me return to myself with greater compassion, awareness, and peace.

Today, I share this practice not from a place of perfection, but from lived experience and deep gratitude for the ways yoga can support us through life’s transitions and challenges. My hope is that everyone who enters this space feels welcomed exactly as they are — with space to breathe, soften, heal, and reconnect.

As Donna Faulds writes:

“Go in and in and turn away from nothing that you find.”

That intention is at the heart of exhale.

  • "I attended her 9 a.m. ‘Gentle Flow’ class, and it was exactly what I needed. My day was packed, and I came in feeling scattered, but I left feeling centered, stretched, and refreshed. Rachel creates such a peaceful atmosphere and offers thoughtful guidance throughout class, including gentle adjustments and helpful use of props like blocks and blankets. Her studio is cozy, warm, and intimate, which makes the experience feel even more special. If you’re looking for yoga that is slow, intentional, and nourishing, I highly recommend Exhale Yoga."
